Cowboys Select WR Michael Gallup With the 81st Pick

FRISCO, TEXAS — With the 81st pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected wide receiver from Colorado State, Michael Gallup. He has great speed and strong hands as he reaches for the ball. Gallup has natural ability working against cornerbacks on man-to-man coverage down the sidelines. Gallup earned first-team All-Mountain West Conference by a conference-high 1,272 yards and 14 touchdowns in his 2016 season. He was one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s most outstanding receiver as a senior in 2017.

The Cowboys are in need of a playmaker receiver and when Gallup catches the ball, he fights for every yard he gains. There has been a lot of discussion surrounding which receiver the Cowboys would draft, and they have put the projections to rest with Gallup. His determination and ease on the field landed him a spot as a wide receiver for America’s Team. Welcome to the Dallas Cowboys Michael Gallup!
