Alyssa (Lys) Marquez is a sophomore journalism major at Texas Christian University. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, played volleyball and basketball growing up and moved to the sidelines during her early years in high school.
Marquez cheered in the stands and on the sidelines, a member of pep squad and a cheer captain her senior year of high school. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in sports due to her previous experience and attending multiple NFL games.
Lys is currently an associate producer for the Horned Frog Sports Network, a part of a TCU sports segment, "Unscripted," and the 2022 Announcer of Texas Sprint Series. She plans on graduating TCU spring 2024 with a bachelors in journalism and a minor in Spanish.
