Renegades’ Aerial Assault Overwhelms Battlehawks

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Renegades turned a crisp passing attack into a record-setting night, defeating the St. Louis Battlehawks 31-15 behind quarterback Austin Reed’s four-touchdown performance.

Reed controlled the tempo from the outset, completing 22 of 36 passes for 240 yards. His four touchdown throws tied a UFL regular-season record, slicing through a Battlehawks defense that had no answer for Dallas’ efficiency through the air.

Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns delivered a career performance, rewriting both league and team single-game records with 11 receptions for 146 yards and three touchdowns. He eclipsed 100 yards before halftime and remained Reed’s primary weapon all night, repeatedly exploiting gaps in coverage.

Dallas also found balance on the ground, with running back Dae-Dae Hunter contributing 67 yards on 10 carries to keep the offense multi-dimensional.

Defensively, the Renegades set the tone early and never let up. Linebacker Andrew Dowell led the team with eight tackles, while the secondary consistently disrupted St. Louis’ passing game. Free safety Cole Qwynnterrio and cornerback Shawn Wade each recorded interceptions, and Dallas finished with eight pass breakups.

St. Louis struggled to find offensive rhythm. Quarterback Brandon Silvers went 22-of-39 for 186 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, adding 16 rushing yards. Wide receiver Hakeem Butler led the team with 56 receiving yards on four catches.

Jarveon Howard and Blake Jackson each had five receptions, but explosive plays were scarce. Defensively, LaVonta Bentley and A.J. Thomas each recorded seven tackles, with Thomas adding an interception and a pass breakup.

In the end, Dallas’ high-powered passing game and opportunistic defense proved decisive, as the Renegades delivered one of their most complete performances of the season.
