Cowboys Lock In Bass, Steward with Tender Agreements

FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys took care of two depth pieces on their roster Tuesday, officially securing offensive lineman T.J. Bass and defensive back Reddy Steward after both players signed their respective tenders.

Bass, who carved out a role along the interior offensive line last season, returns as a reliable option in the trenches. His versatility proved valuable for Dallas, stepping in when needed and providing stability across multiple spots on the line. Bringing him back ensures continuity for a unit that dealt with injuries throughout the year.

Steward, a young defensive back still developing within the system, also remains in the fold. While his role has primarily been centered around depth and special teams contributions, the Cowboys see upside in his athleticism and familiarity with the scheme.

By tendering both players, Dallas maintains flexibility while keeping two contributors who understand the culture and expectations inside the locker room. Moves like these may not grab headlines, but they help solidify the foundation of the roster heading into the next phase of the offseason.

With free agency and the draft approaching, the Cowboys continue to quietly build out their depth — a key factor for a team looking to stay competitive deep into the season.
