VANCOUVER — The Stars opened their four-game swing with a solid 4–2 victory over the Canucks on Thursday night.
Colin Blackwell broke the third-period tie, jumping on a loose puck at the blue line and beating Kevin Lankinen cleanly. Jason Robertson extended his scoring streak, and Mikko Rantanen and Mavrik Bourque added goals as Dallas bounced back from its previous loss.
Jake Oettinger anchored the win with 34 saves, including a key stop during Vancouver’s early 5-on-3. The Canucks, who got goals from Linus Karlsson and Elias Pettersson, couldn’t convert on their big chances and have now dropped five of their last six.
Rantanen’s late insurance goal wrapped it up, and Dallas now shifts its focus to Calgary on Saturday night.
