Stars’ Rally Falls Short in 3–2 Loss to Islanders

DALLAS — The Stars saw their five-game winning streak snapped Tuesday night in a 3–2 loss to the New York Islanders at American Airlines Center.

Jason Robertson scored both Dallas goals—continuing his scorching stretch with eight in his last four games—and pulled the Stars within one on a late 6-on-5 backhander. But a penalty-filled third period stalled Dallas’ momentum.

Despite controlling long stretches and outshooting New York late, Dallas couldn’t overcome the chaos of the third.

The Stars head to Vancouver next, looking to start a new streak.
