DALLAS – Dallas Trinity FC dropped a 2–0 decision to Sporting JAX on Saturday night at Cotton Bowl Stadium in front of 1,983 fans during the club’s Salute to Service night.
Jacksonville scored early behind Paige Kenton’s fifth-minute goal and added another from Ashlyn Puerta in the 23rd. Dallas outshot JAX 16–15 but couldn’t convert, finishing the match with ten players after a red card to Maya McCutcheon in the 71st minute.
“We fought really hard,” said head coach Chris Petrucelli. “There were positives, especially as the second half wore on.”
Midfielder Gracie Brian added, “We’ve taken some tough losses, but we’ll bounce back. The effort’s been there.”
Dallas Trinity (3–5–1) heads to Spokane next Saturday to face Zephyr FC. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. CST on Peacock.
