ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers played to a 40-40 tie Sunday night, marking just the seventh tie in Cowboys history and their first since 1969. This season also makes Dallas the first team in franchise history to play two overtime games in the first four weeks. The last NFL team to do so was Indianapolis in 2023.
Dak Prescott went 31-of-40 for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and a 124.9 passer rating. George Pickens led Green Bay with eight receptions for 134 yards, while Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson added seven catches for 40 yards.
The game’s most historic moment came on special teams: Juanyeh Thomas blocked a Green Bay extra point, and Markquese Bell returned it for a two-point defensive conversion—the first in Cowboys history.
With the tie, Dallas moves to 1-2-1 and hits the road to take on the New York Jets next Sunday.
