DENTON, TEXAS — North Texas is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2018 after a 59-10 win over Washington State. Under coach Eric Morris, UNT is outscoring opponents by 26 points per game, ranking 12th nationally.
The Mean Green are balanced on both sides of the ball—11th in scoring offense, top-30 in scoring defense, and +2 turnover margin per game. Redshirt freshman QB Drew Mestemaker has nine TD passes, while 12 different players have scored this season, including a program-record seven vs. Washington State.
Saturday’s trip to Army kicks off conference play as UNT looks to extend its historic run.
