ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Paige Bueckers has been named the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year after a standout debut season with the Dallas Wings.
The No. 1 overall pick averaged 19.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals over 36 games, shooting 47.7% from the field. She became the only player in the league to rank top 10 in scoring, assists, and steals.
Her season included a record-breaking 44-point game — the highest ever by a rookie — and a 30-game double-digit scoring streak to open her career. She also tied for fifth all-time among rookies with 17 games of 20+ points.
Bueckers set Wings rookie records across nearly every major category and was the only rookie named to the AP All-WNBA Second Team. She also became just the 10th rookie ever to start in a WNBA All-Star Game and swept all three Rookie of the Month honors from June to August.
She’s the second player in franchise history to win the award since the team’s move to Dallas in 2016.
