NEW YORK — Wyatt Langford delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth, lifting the Texas Rangers to a 3-2 comeback win over the New York Mets, who have now dropped eight straight.
Trailing 2-1, Texas rallied late, with Langford’s hit scoring the decisive run. Reliever David Robertson closed out the win, while Jonathan Hernández earned the victory in relief.
The Rangers improve to 79-70 as they chase a Wild Card spot, heading into the final game of the series Sunday.
