Bueckers Wins 3rd Straight Rookie of the Month

ARLINGTON, TX — Paige Bueckers has been named WNBA Rookie of the Month for August, her third in a row—a first in Dallas Wings history.

She averaged 20.3 points, 5.0 assists, and shot 49.7% last month. Her 44-point explosion vs. the Sparks set a WNBA rookie single-game scoring record, shooting 80.9% from the field.

Bueckers leads all rookies in scoring (18.9) and assists (5.3) and is closing in on Arike Ogunbowale’s Wings rookie scoring record.

Kelsey McClure is from Muskogee, OK. Graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism/Communications (Summa Cum Laude Honors). Professional athlete with 6+ years of experience, including playing overseas in France and Finland, as well as Professional Women’s Basketball Team, The St. Louis Surge. Enthusiast of a wide variety of sports due to competitive nature. Always accepting of the challenges that come with being a member of a team and helping the team to succeed.
