FORT WORTH, Texas – With the season opener against North Carolina just a few days away, TCU Football hit the field for an open practice that gave fans and media an early look at the 2025 Horned Frogs.
The Horned Frogs practiced with intensity, fine-tuning fundamentals and running through situational drills in preparation for next week’s matchup against the Tar Heels. When asked about the team’s identity this season, tight ends coach Mitch Kirsch emphasized a clear standard, saying he wants TCU to be “physical, nasty, and dominant up front.” He also added that “setting the tone at the line of scrimmage” will also be key to the success of the team.
Senior running back Kevorian Barnes is eager to leave his mark in his final season with the Horned Frogs. Barnes said he’s “most looking forward to helping the team establish a run game and being a key contributor” as TCU looks to set the tone offensively this year.
All eyes now turn to Chapel Hill, where TCU will face UNC in its season opener. The Horned Frogs’ early test on the road presents an opportunity to showcase their growth and make an immediate statement about the kind of team they plan to be in 2025.
