Cowboys Drop Preseason Opener to Rams

INGLEWOOD, CA – Brian Schottenheimer’s first game as Cowboys head coach ended in a 31-21 loss to the Rams.

With starters resting, Dallas managed just one yard in the first quarter as Los Angeles scored twice early. Joe Milton threw for 143 yards and a touchdown before exiting with an elbow bruise. Will Grier added a late rushing score, and Israel Mukuamu grabbed an interception, but the Cowboys couldn’t close the gap.

Dallas returns home next week to face Baltimore.
