ARLINGTON, Texas — Arike Ogunbowale made history Monday night, leading the Dallas Wings to a 92-82 win over the New York Liberty at College Park Center.
Ogunbowale posted 20 points and a franchise-record 14 assists, becoming the first player in team history — and third in WNBA history — to record a points-assists double-double in one half. She also became the only player this season to log 20+ points and 10+ assists with just one turnover.
Rookie Paige Bueckers added 20 points, and Luisa Geiselsöder matched a career high with 14. Dallas jumped out early, leading by as many as 27 in the first half and holding off a late Liberty run.
Jonquel Jones led New York with 18 points. The Wings (8-19) now lead the all-time series vs. the Liberty (17-8), 42-41.
Dallas hosts the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT.
