ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Rangers stayed scorching with an 8-1 win over Atlanta, completing a three-game sweep and stretching their win streak to six—tied for their longest this season.
Texas (56-50) jumped out fast, scoring eight runs in the first three innings behind a bases-clearing double from Wyatt Langford, a two-run homer by Josh Smith, and RBI singles from Josh Jung and Jonah Heim.
Jack Leiter delivered six strong innings, allowing just one run on two hits with seven strikeouts. Smith reached base four times, and Heim extended his RBI streak to four games.
The Rangers finished their nine-game homestand 8-1, the best in club history for that length. Corey Seager reached safely again, extending his MLB-best on-base streak to 27 games.
