WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Dallas Wings came up short in a tightly contested overtime battle, falling 91-88 to the Washington Mystics on Sunday afternoon at CareFirst Arena. Rookie Sonia Citron hit the game-winning three with 12.9 seconds left in OT to snap the Wings’ two-game win streak.

Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 27 points, while Paige Bueckers added 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Dallas dropped to 3-12, while Washington moved to 6-8.

After trailing by 16 in the first quarter, Dallas rallied with a dominant second behind Ogunbowale and Bueckers. The Wings led by five at the half and maintained a slim edge through the third.

Washington surged late, reclaiming the lead in the fourth before Bueckers forced overtime with a clutch three. The Wings briefly led in OT before Citron, who posted a career-best 27-point, 11-rebound performance, sealed it for the Mystics.

Dallas returns home Tuesday to face Atlanta at 7 p.m. CT.
