MINNEAPOLIS — Kyle Higashioka powered the Texas Rangers past the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, collecting five RBIs in a dominant 16-4 win at Target Field.
Evan Carter added a homer, three RBIs, and scored four runs, while Wyatt Langford also went deep as part of a 17-hit onslaught. Texas built an early lead in the fourth thanks to a Twins error and timely hits from Adolis García and Higashioka.
The Rangers broke the game open in the fifth with a two-out rally, then Carter’s blast in the sixth made it 10-3. Langford’s solo shot started a six-run eighth to seal it.
Tyler Mahle (6-3) earned the win despite allowing 10 hits. Minnesota got RBIs from Ty France, Royce Lewis, and Ryan Jeffers, plus a solo homer from Matt Wallner. France extended his on-base streak to 21 games, hitting .329 during that run.
Noteworthy: Texas has now won three straight road games for the first time this season.
On Deck: Jack Leiter (4-2, 3.48 ERA) will face David Festa (0-1, 5.40 ERA) in Wednesday’s matchup.
