FRISCO, TEXAS — New Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer is already making his presence felt.
During organized team activities (OTAs) this week, Schottenheimer’s energy and hands-on approach have resonated with players as they prepare for mandatory minicamp next week.
“If we don’t have energy and we’re not into it and we’re not running around and we’re not talking shit, then the players aren’t going to be able to do that,” Schottenheimer said. “Because they’re going to follow our lead.”
The longtime NFL coach, elevated from offensive coordinator to head coach this offseason, has emphasized tempo, communication, and leadership from the top down.
The Cowboys conclude OTAs this week before a three-day minicamp begins Tuesday at The Star.
