FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas secures a 0-0 draw with the Philadelphia Union, who are in first place in both the Eastern Conference and MLS Supporters’ Shield standings.

Patrickson Delgado had two chances in the first 10 minutes, both finishing just outside of the left post. But then, FC Dallas was reduced to 10 men in the 39th minute, when Lalas Abubakar received his second yellow card nearly 10 minutes after he received his first.

Even a player down, FC Dallas did not make a substitution until the 87th minute, subbing in Logan Farrington for Petar Musa.

FCD held the league’s highest-scoring team to no goals in this one, and remained unbeaten against Philadelphia in terms of their all-time record at Toyota Stadium.

The Union extended their unbeaten-streak to nine games, adding a third draw on top of their six wins since their last loss back on April 12 to NYCFC.

FC Dallas won’t see MLS action until June 14, when they travel to play Sporting Kansas City.
