Rangers Dominate Cardinals 11-1 in Series Opener

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Rangers opened their weekend set with a blowout win over the Cardinals, cruising to an 11-1 victory at Globe Life Field. Texas jumped ahead early, scoring five runs in the first two innings — their second-highest run total of the season.

Jack Leiter delivered a career-best outing, tossing 5.2 shutout innings while allowing just three hits. He’s now posted a 2.28 ERA over his last four starts. Rangers starters have thrown 15 straight scoreless innings and lead MLB with a 2.81 ERA this season.

At the plate, Marcus Semien broke out with four hits, including a two-run homer, while Wyatt Langford launched his 11th long ball of the year. Josh Jung and Sam Haggerty each drove in three runs, fueling the offensive explosion.

Caleb Boushley closed the game with three solid innings for his first career save. Texas improved to 20-3 when scoring at least four runs and evened its homestand record at 2-2 with two games left against St. Louis.
