White Sox Rally to Beat Rangers 10-5, Extend Losing Streak
CHICAGO — The Chicago White Sox overcame a 4-2 deficit with a six-run sixth inning to defeat the Texas Rangers 10-5 on Saturday, handing Texas their sixth straight loss. Key defensive miscues by the Rangers helped Chicago’s comeback, highlighted by Andrew Benintendi’s two-run double and Lenyn Sosa’s three-run double. Joshua Palacios and Mike Tauchman also homered for the White Sox.
Texas struggled despite Adolis García’s solo homer and rookie Chase Meidroth’s extended hitting streak. Jack Leiter walked five over five innings but kept the damage limited.
Mike Vasil pitched three scoreless innings for the win. Sunday’s series finale will feature Rangers’ Patrick Corbin against White Sox’s Davis Martin.
