Wings Run Into A Storm

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Looking to bounce back from Friday night’s defeat, the Dallas Wings were unable to find their rhythm Monday evening, falling 79-71 to the Seattle Storm at home.

The loss marks the Wings’ second straight as they prepare to head out on the road.

Seattle gained control late in the second quarter and maintained a steady lead until the final minutes of the third, when Dallas made a strong push. Forward Maddy Siegrist sparked the run with back-to-back three-pointers, trimming the Storm’s advantage to just five points.

Despite the momentum shift, the Wings were unable to complete the comeback, as the Storm held firm down the stretch to secure the win.

Paige Bueckers delivered a strong performance for Dallas, finishing with 19 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds.

For Seattle, veteran forward Nneka Ogwumike dominated on both ends of the floor, posting a standout double-double with 23 points, 18 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Wings now turn their focus to Wednesday night’s road game against the Minnesota Lynx, where they’ll look to snap the skid and redeem themselves after their last meeting.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM CST.
