FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys bolstered their pass rush on Friday by selecting Boston College edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku with the No. 44 overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Ezeiruaku, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive standout, was one of the most productive pass rushers in college football last season. He recorded 16.5 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, 80 total tackles and three forced fumbles. He led all players nationally with 20 quarterback hits, showcasing his relentless pressure off the edge.

“We feel like Donovan gives us an immediate impact player,” Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said. “He plays with great intensity and has a nose for the football. He’s a guy we’re excited to add to this defense.”

Ezeiruaku earned All-ACC honors and gained national attention for his explosiveness, high motor and ability to disrupt opposing offenses.

The pick addresses a key area of need for Dallas, adding depth and youth to a defensive front that aims to maintain its aggressive identity under defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

The Cowboys will look to continue building through the draft with several picks remaining over the weekend.
