NEW YORK — The Dallas Wings added a major spark to their backcourt on draft night, selecting NC State guard Aziaha James with the 12th overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

James made a name for herself during her time with the Wolfpack thanks to her electric scoring ability and aggressive style of play. Over her college career, she averaged 12.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 42.6% from the floor. Her junior year was a breakout season, helping lead NC State to the Elite Eight.

Known for her quickness, defensive energy, and ability to create shots off the dribble, James gives the Wings a versatile guard who can contribute on both ends. With a young core already in place, Dallas is betting on James to bring a new level of intensity and skill to their rotation.
