Stars Acquire Mikko Rantanen, Sign Him to 8-Year Extension

DALLAS, TEXAS –The Dallas Stars made a major move, acquiring star forward Mikko Rantanen from the Colorado Avalanche and signing him to an 8-year, $92 million extension.

Rantanen, 27, adds elite scoring and playmaking to the Stars’ top line alongside Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson. Coming off a 95-point season, he brings size, skill, and playoff experience to a Dallas team aiming for a Stanley Cup run.

With Rantanen locked in through 2033, the Stars have officially gone all-in on contending for a championship.
