FC Dallas Trades Jesús Ferreira To Seattle Sounders For GAM, Léo Chú, And A Roster Slot

FC Dallas has traded forward Jesús Ferreira to Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for up to $2.3 million in General Allocation Money (GAM), winger Léo Chú, and a 2025 international roster slot. Ferreira, 23, leaves as the club’s most decorated Homegrown player, with 58 goals and 30 assists in over 150 appearances since 2016.

In return, Dallas acquires Léo Chú, a dynamic 23-year-old winger with eight goals and 14 assists in 63 MLS games. The $2.3 million in GAM—a club record—and the 2025 roster slot offer additional resources for roster upgrades.

Seattle secures a proven scorer in Ferreira as they aim for more MLS titles. This trade reflects FC Dallas’ commitment to strategic roster building and player development.
