Dallas Trinity FC Defeats Tampa Bay Sun FC, 2-0

DALLAS, TEXAS — Dallas Trinity FC (6-2-5, 23 points) earned a 2-0 win over Tampa Bay Sun FC (4-3-4, 16 points) on Sunday at Cotton Bowl Stadium.

An own goal in the 66th minute and Allie Thornton’s sixth goal of the season, assisted by Cyera Hintzen, sealed the victory. Goalkeeper Madison White recorded her fifth clean sheet.

Head coach Pauline MacDonald said: “This came down to focus and decision-making. I’m delighted for the players.”

Dallas hosts Brooklyn FC (8-3-2, 26 points) in their home finale on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 2:30 p.m. CT.
