Sun Cook The Wings, 109-101

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Dallas Wings started off on fire as their return of spark, Satou Sabally, led the way for the Wings 8-0 run in the first quarter. Sabally was cleared for return to play during WNBA regular season this past Wednesday after suffering a shoulder injury sustained while playing for Germany’s national team in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying tournament back in February.

The Connecticut Sun, however, snatched momentum as they ran away with the second half, coasting to victory in the final minutes, 109-91.

Sabally finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Arike Ogunbowale led the way with 21 points, while Natasha Howard ran away with her third double-double on the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Connecticut Sun Forward, Alyssa Thomas walked away with an impressive double-double, 12 points and 14 assists. DeWanna Bonner led all scorers with 29 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.

The Wings (6-20) will travel to New York to face off against the Liberty (22-4) Tuesday at 6 PM CST.
