Wings Get Burned By Mercury, 100-84

PHOENIX, AZ — Arike Ogunbowale had a career-high 13 assists but the Dallas Wings fell to the Phoenix Mercury 100-84. The Wings led in the first quarter and by as many as 11 points, but the Mercury outscored them between the second and third quarters to pull away. Ogunbowale added 13 points to go along with her 13 assists for her second double-double of the season.

Teaira McCowan notched her eighth double-double of the year with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Wings shot 50% from the field but Phoenix shot .590 and drained nine three-pointers.

The Wings return home for their final two games before the Olympic break, beginning on Saturday against the Los Angeles Sparks. Tipoff is at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS.
