Career Night For RB Jaylan Knighton As SMU Dominates Charlotte, 34-16

DALLAS, TEXAS –SMU defeated Charlotte 34-16 Saturday night in the first American Athletic Conference opener for both teams this season.

SMU had 8 different players catch a pass, has had at least eight different players catch a pass in every game this season.

Mustangs Quarterback Preston Stone completed 14 of 23 passes for 135 yards with one interception.

Jaylan Knighton led all rusher with 11 carries for 150 rushing and 2 touchdowns. Knighton had career-long 95 yard TD run, 2nd longest in SMU history and 3rd longest in AAC history.
