FORT WORTH, TX- It wasn’t the outcome TCU hoped for as TCU fell to Kansas 63-58.

Mike Miles led the Frogs with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

In the first half both teams had a slow start. No points were put up until five minutes into the first. Neither team was able to score in double digits until Kansas Gradey Dick reached 10 points with five minutes remaining.

TCU went into the half with a 4-point deficit 33-29 and Kansas was able to hold the frogs to only 32 percent from the field.

The second half didn’t look much different.

TCU trailed by less than five but what solidified a win for Kansas was a foul by Mike Miles and 2 made free throws by Kevin McCullar Jr.

Head Coach Jamie Dixon said postgame that they held Kansas to 39 percent from the field so they got stops but had poor decision making.

“We had opportunities. Offense was pretty bad,” said Dixon. “We didn’t turnover a lot but our shot selection was not there. We didn’t make free throws. That combination will put you in a close game and you’ll come up short”.

TCU will be back in action Saturday in Lubbock to take on the Red Raiders. Tip-off is at 11 a.m.
