FORT WORTH,TX- The Horned Frogs secured their 5th straight victory against Jackson State with a 27-point lead. Mike Miles Jr. and Emmanuel Miller were sidelined for this game for illnesses but that did not stop the frogs from trailing the tigers.

Sophomore forward Jakobe Coles led the team hitting a career high of 21-points with 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

“I had a lot of confidence going into the summer. With all the work this team and I have put in,” said Coles. “I always make sure I’m ready and I think that’s the most important thing I can do.”

The team continued to widen their lead and passed the ball with more efficiency, allowing multiple scorers to put up for the frogs. Damion Baugh (15 points) Shahada Wells (14 points) and Chuck O’Bannon (11 points).

Head Coach Jamie Dixon looks to secure a solid line-up but the team continues to be challenged with illnesses. Dixon explained he’s never had a rotation going like he has had this year.

“The Iowa game is the only game where I knew who was starting,” said Coach Dixon. “This game I had no idea who was playing or starting.”

TCU looks to go 8-1 as they face SMU who fell to Jackson State 69-68. SMU (3-5) will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils (8-1) before facing the Frogs in Dickies Arena Saturday night. Tip-off is at 9PM.
