Wings Secure Playoff Birth In Win Over Liberty

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings had an exciting battle out on the court Monday night against the New York Liberty. With a 9 point lead, the Wings dominated New York 86-77. Satou Sabally and Arike Ogunbawle sidelined tonights game but that didn’t hold the Wings back from securing a spot in the playoffs. 

Marina Mabrey took charge putting up 31 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Mabrey said, “I felt our team start to lose it for a few minutes and they trusted me. They were finding me and threw me the ball in clutch situations and whether it was me taking the shot or throwing it somewhere to be successful that’s all I was focused on.”
 
Saturdays over-time win raised the expectations for the Wings as they prepared for back to back games.
 
The Wings stay home for their second matchup against New York Liberty. Tip off is at 7pm here at College Park Center.
