FC Dallas Defeats Nashville SC 2-0

FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas went up against, Nashville S.C., with only in its second season since joining the MLS, Nashville brought an impressive line up of starters: Joe Willis Goalkeeper, Defenders Daniel Lovitz and Dave Romney. On the North Texas team, opening with Maarten Pes, Jose Martinez, Marco Farfan and Matt Hedges.

Nashville kicked off the first half with a foul from defender, Eric Miller, making way for a free kick missed by Farfan. Going to the 18th minute a missed left footed shot from Jesus Ferreira as Ferrerira makes a comeback, coming in for the second attempted shot, before Nashville’s defense blocking from the left center of the goal.

Now with only 45 minutes left and with the score board 0 to 0, Nashville SC takes control of the ball provoking Dallas to bring in their strongest defense. Coming in for the second half Alan Velasco for Jader Obrian, Franco Jara for Pomykal, Nikosi Tafari for Martinez. Immediately in the 62nd minute, Servania takes a right footed shot from the center, missing it from the left as moments in – an assist from Cerrillo to Arriola is intercepted from Nashville, Jack Maher, knocking down Arriola. Jara steps up for the free kick scoring, the first goal. Meanwhile making his MLS debut Attacker from Argentina Alan Velasco, gains possession around midfield lifts a left footed shot, scoring the second goal.

Head Coach, Nico Estevez marked his first win for the season and is ready to keep the momentum going “They have been waiting 3 games to get to this. I’m happy for the players, I’m in love with the team we have, they have something special, I saw them down when we didn’t get those points against new England, this was their comeback” and when asked about Nashville SC’s presence on the filed…“Their players are veterans, they are very direct , I’m glad we got to play them, we needed to.”

FC Dallas next match is against the Portland Timbers, at home.
