TCU Makes History Beating Oklahoma At Norman 72-63 For The First Time In Program History

TCU’s Damion Baugh had 20 points for the 2nd time this season and double-figures for the 7th time. 

NORMAN, OK – TCU moved to 15-4 and 4-3 in conference play after beating Oklahoma Monday night 72-63. This is the first time TCU has beat Oklahoma in Norman in program history. 

Damion Bough led the Frogs with 20 points,eight rebounds, and one assist. TCU had a one point lead going into halftime and the lead continued to grow in the second half. The Frogs got up 14 points 60-46 with eight minutes remaining in the game. 

Jordan Goldwire for the Sooner, a Duke transfer, scored nine unanswered points for Oklahoma bringing the game within five with 38 seconds left in regulation. The Sooners ran out of time and TCU took the win. 

The Frogs swept Oklahoma this season in the series after beating them tonight and in overtime in Fort Worth on January 15. 

Eddie Lampkin Jr. had 14 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. Mike Miles added 11 points, one rebound, and five assists. 

The Frogs shot 52 percent from the floor (28 of 53) and they had another great day of rebounding,  out rebounding the Sooners 42-20. TCU is the best rebounding team in the Big12 currently and that is a huge reason why they are having so much success this season. 

The Frogs will be back in Fort Worth on Saturday to take on Kansas State at 7:00 PM. They will be in search of their third straight win.
