SMU Beats UNLV, 83-64

DALLAS, Texas — SMU beat UNLV 83-64 Wednesday Night. The Mustangs move to 6-3 overall, on a 3-game win streak.

The Mustangs got up early, taking a 10-point lead by the 10 minute mark. SMU’s man to man defense looked good and they dominated in the paint. By half, the Mustangs had a 23-point lead. The Rebels played hard in the second half but weren’t able to get it going enough to get back in the game.

The Mustangs had 4 double-digit scorers, lead by point guard, Kendric Davis with 18-points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds. Michael Weathers had a season high 14 points, as well as 9 rebounds. Emmanuel Bandoumel followed with 13-points and Tristan Clark with 10.

The Mustangs are 6-0 in Moody so far this season, and 2-0 so far this week. They’ll finish the week against Vanderbilt on Saturday at 5pm in Moody Coliseum.
