Mustangs Host UNT Saturday Preview

DALLAS, Texas — Entering week two of the college football season. SMU is gearing up to host North Texas University in its second home game of the season Saturday.

SMU head Coach Sonny Dykes met with the media Wednesday and expressed he has been reviewing film on North Texas and is also going over other topics he saw in last week’s game. Dykes, ”North Texas has two different schemes offensively and defensively. They’ve gone to more of the Baylor approach on offense. They will try to spread you out, run the ball, and then try to create some big plays.”

Dykes also commented that he was impressed with their running backs. Their guys are also very productive and they certainly run hard. So, the big thing for our team is we’ve got to take away their run.

A few things SMU wants to do better going into the game this week is to play with better pad level, dominate the line of scrimmage, and no missed field goals.
