DALLAS, TEXAS — SMU Basketball back in action Monday, hosting American conference opponent, Temple. The Mustangs are 6-2 overall and 2-2 in American Athletic Conference games. The Mustangs outscored the owls 79-71 in the teams’ first match up of the season but head into the game off of back to back loses to Houston and Cincinnati.

Temple had two games scheduled since the game with SMU, but both were postponed, so they’ll be playing SMU exactly a week later, without competition in between. Temple holds a 1-2 losing record, but their only loses have been to Houston and SMU. The Owls win came in their season opener over, the NJIT Highlanders, a non-conference opponent. The Memphis and Tulane games have been postponed, so Owls are early in their season based on their total body of competition.

SMU will need to be ready to play, as UC had a week of recovery in the time SMU played Houston and Cincinnati. Tip off will be at 2 pm CT in Moody Coliseum.
