TCU Men’s Basketball RJ Nembhard Named Big 12 Player of The Week

FORT WORTH, Texas — Junior guard RJ Nembhard was named Big 12 player of the week on Monday. 

Nembhard averages 20.8 points, 8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds. He led the Horned Frogs to a 73-55 win over Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon with 16 points and 9 assists. 

Nembhard contributed 25 points in the previous game against Providence and was 11-of-17 from the floor. 

This week he averaged 63 percent (17-of-27) from the floor and 50 (5-of-10) percent from the three-point line.  

This is the first Horned Frog to get nominated Big 12 player of the week since Desmine Bane last season. 

TCU (5-2) will be taking on Oklahoma State (6-0) this Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba arena. The game will be aired on ESPN.
