DALLAS, TEXAS — The SMU Mustangs continue to uphold their programs name with multiple players being added to award watch lists.
SMU’s quarterback Shane Buechele is now one of the 30 quarterbacks named to the Davey O’brien Award Watch List. Each year this award is given to the nation’s greatest quarterback. Buechele is not a stranger to this, as he was a semifinalist for this award last year, in 2019.
Receivers Kylen Granson and Reggie Roberson Jr. were both named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, that recognizes phenomenal receivers. Roberson was on this watch list last season and Granson has already received other pre season honors for this year.
SMU is one of six FBS teams with numerous players recognized. The Davey Obrien award will be presented on December the 10th 2020 and the Biletniknoff Award will be on March 6 2021.
