SMU Wins The Iron Skillet: 4-0 Start, Best Since 1984

FORT WORTH, Texas — The SMU Mustangs are 4-0 for the first time since 1984 and wins the Battle for the Iron Skillet for the first time since 2011 defeating the TCU Horned Frogs 41-38.

This season SMU has outscored opponents 88-43 and out gained them 1040-528 in the first half and its 31 points in the first half were the most allowed by TCU at halftime since 11-11-2017 at #5 Oklahoma.

Mustangs Quarterback Shane Buechele was 22-of-34 for 288 yards with 2 passing touchdowns and had 9 rushes for 30 yards with 1 TD.

SMU hits the road and will play South Florida next Saturday.
