Dorance Armstrong Brings The Cowboys Pass Rush Ability

FRISCO, TEXAS – The Cowboys selected defensive end Dorance Armstrong from Kansas, with the 116th pick in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Armstrong has an immense ability to create pressure on the offensive line and quarterback across the line of scrimmage, that the Cowboys desperately need going into the 2018 season. He bends around the edge and in the final five games in the 2015 season where Armstrong made his first debut at Kansas, he accumulated 23 tackles, five for loss, and four pass breakups.

At the press conference concluding rounds 4-7 of the Draft, Executive Vice President and CEO, Stephen Jones, commented on their draft selection “ we got a great pressure player in Armstrong. A guy we had high on our board. He will do a hell of a job for us… He is an ultimate team guy and he matches well with Rod (Smith). He brings unique pass rush skills and we will see the best of him in this scheme.”

Cowboys’ OTA Offseason Workouts begin May 22-24, May 29-31, and June 4-6 and they are looking forward to seeing Armstrong, in action, wearing the star and strengthening our defensive line.
