SMU Football Future Looks Promising In The Spike Dykes Era

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Spike Dykes era began Saturday for the SMU Mustangs Football team as concluded off-season workouts with its annual spring game with healthy squad heading into the fall.

”It’s a credit to (strength coach) Kaz Kazadi and our players for being in great physical condition,” head coach Sonny Dykes said. “We tackled a bunch. We went live probably over 300 plays this spring. To come out injury-free says a lot about our players and they way they prepared.”

The Mustangs open the 2018 on the road against the North Texas Eagles on September 1st.
