Loyola-Chicago Upsets Miami

DALLAS, TEXAS — Donte Ingram hit the game-winning shot. as the 11th-seeded Loyola-Chicago beat the Miami Hurricanes 64-62 in a exciting game Thursday at the NCAA Tournament. “I mean, it was a great feeling. I thank Marques for making that pass. Any one of us could have hit that shot, but I was just fortunate enough to be in the position. And when I seen the shot and I had space, I was confident, and it went in, luckily”, says Ingram.

The victory was the first for the Ramblers in the NCAA Championship since advancing to the Sweet 16 in 1985 with a 70-57 second round win over Jon Koncak and the SMU Mustangs. Loyola is now 10-4 all-time in the NCAA
Championship.
Loyola advances to play third-seeded Tennessee in the second round.
