ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Renegades wasted no time making an impression to start the UFL season, rolling past the Houston Gamblers 36-17 in a one-sided Texas showdown.
Making his league debut, quarterback Austin Reed delivered a record-setting performance, throwing for 376 yards — the most ever in a single UFL regular-season game. Reed looked poised throughout, stretching the field and consistently finding open targets to keep Houston’s defense on its heels.
Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns emerged as Reed’s go-to option, finishing with seven receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown. His big-play ability helped Dallas build separation early and maintain control throughout the night.
The Renegades set the tone offensively and never let up, while the Gamblers struggled to keep pace as the game wore on. With the win, Dallas opens its campaign with momentum and a clear signal that its offense could be one of the league’s most dangerous this season.
