DALLAS — A high-scoring night at the American Airlines Center ended in frustration for the Mavericks, who fell 137–131 in overtime to the Golden State Warriors despite one of their most efficient offensive performances of the season.
Dallas stayed hot offensively, topping 130 points for the second straight game and matching a season-best stretch with three consecutive games of 120 or more. The Mavericks shot 16-of-36 from deep, dished out 37 assists and forced 13 steals, controlling much of the tempo early.
The Mavericks exploded for 73 first-half points while shooting nearly 66 percent from the field — their most efficient opening half this season.
Rookie Cooper Flagg led the way with 32 points and nine assists, continuing his standout year with his eighth 30-point game. Daniel Gafford added 20 points on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting night, along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Klay Thompson chipped in 15 points off the bench with five 3-pointers, and Max Christie added 15 points on efficient shooting.
Golden State responded late and carried that momentum into overtime. Kristaps Porzingis paced the Warriors with 22 points, while Brandin Podziemski added a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Despite Dallas’ offensive rhythm, the Warriors executed down the stretch and in overtime to secure the win.
