STILLWATER, Okla. — TCU had to dig deep Saturday night, and when the extra session arrived, the Horned Frogs delivered.

TCU survived Oklahoma State 95-92 in overtime at Gallagher-Iba Arena, snapping a string of single-overtime frustrations and strengthening its push late in the season. The Horned Frogs improved to 3-4 in true road games and moved to 17-29 all-time against the Cowboys, winning their fifth straight in the series.

For head coach Jamie Dixon, the victory added another notch against Oklahoma State. Dixon is now 16-8 in his career against OSU, continuing a run of success against the Cowboys.

The Frogs controlled key stretches on the glass, outrebounding Oklahoma State 39-36. That edge proved significant. TCU improved to 14-1 this season when winning the rebounding battle and 154-45 under Dixon in those situations. Ball security also played a role — the Frogs committed just eight turnovers, marking the eighth time this season they’ve had 10 or fewer.

The win carried added significance. It was TCU’s first victory in overtime since a triple-overtime thriller at Baylor on Jan. 27, 2024, and its first triumph in a single overtime game since edging Oklahoma on Jan. 15, 2022. The Frogs had dropped six straight single-OT contests before Saturday’s breakthrough.

Individually, TCU leaned on a balanced offensive attack.

David Punch led the way with 19 points, his 11th time topping the team in scoring this season. He was steady at the line, converting 6 of 7 free throws.

Jayden Pierre added 18 points, including a sharp 4-of-5 effort from beyond the arc. It was his 12th double-figure scoring game of the season and his 13th outing with multiple 3-pointers. Pierre logged a career-high 43 minutes and matched a personal best with two blocks, while also dishing out four assists.

Xavier Edmonds delivered inside with 15 points and a team-high 10 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year. Micah Robinson chipped in 11 points, marking his 14th double-digit performance this season. Pierre and Brock Harding shared the team lead in assists with four apiece, the 21st time Harding has tied or led TCU in assists this season.

With the sweep of Oklahoma State and Baylor this year, TCU has now swept two conference opponents in the same season for the first time since 2023.

On a night that demanded composure and toughness, the Horned Frogs finally flipped the script in overtime — and left Stillwater with a statement win.
