FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU delivered one of its biggest wins of the season Wednesday night, knocking off No. 5 Iowa State, 62-55, at Schollmaier Arena behind a strong defensive performance and balanced offense.

The Horned Frogs snapped a six-game losing streak in the series and earned their first victory over the Cyclones since January 2022. The win marked TCU’s highest-ranked triumph since defeating No. 2 Houston last season and improved Jamie Dixon to 10-9 all-time against Iowa State.

TCU tied a season high with 12 steals and held the Cyclones to just 55 points, one of the lowest totals allowed by the Frogs this year. TCU also controlled the glass, outrebounding Iowa State 36-31 — a key factor as the Frogs improved to 13-1 this season when winning the rebounding battle.

Micah Robinson and Tanner Toolson each scored 17 points to lead TCU. Toolson added a season-high nine rebounds and went 10-of-15 from the free-throw line. Robinson’s performance marked his top scoring output in Big 12 play. Brock Harding and David Punch each finished with four assists, while Xavier Edmonds grabbed seven rebounds.

TCU improved to 11-5 at home, 2-5 against AP Top 25 teams this season and continued its recent success against top-10 opponents in Fort Worth.
