PHOENIX — The Dallas Mavericks’ struggles continued Tuesday night as a late rally fell short in a 120-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns, extending Dallas’ skid to eight games.
Dallas trailed most of the night after Phoenix grabbed an early lead and built a 31-point advantage in the first half. The Mavericks showed fight down the stretch behind Naji Marshall, who scored 31 points, and rookie Cooper Flagg, who added 27 while helping spark a fourth-quarter push.
Marshall’s floater trimmed the deficit to six with just over two minutes left, but Devin Booker answered with key jumpers to keep Dallas at bay and seal the win for Phoenix. Dillon Brooks led the Suns with 23 points, while Booker finished with 19.
The Mavericks haven’t won since Jan. 22 and are in their longest losing stretch since 2016. Dallas continues its road trip Thursday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, still searching for momentum.
